So you want to do a controlled burn?

If you have trash, brush, storm debris, or any non-hazardus chemical combustible material. There are just a few steps and you'll be all set!
  1. Pick the right weather conditions - little to no wind and no Burn Ban.
  2. Prepare the area - short green vegetation in the vicinity is the best.
  3. Have a plan if it starts to get out of hand - a water hose, extinguisher, or tractor.
  4. Have a phone handy - so you can call us if you need us!
When you have all of these in place, please call the Grady Co. Sheriff office at 224-0984 and give them your address and/or the general location and size of you burn area.

Lastly, remember if it gets away from you, don't hesitate to dial 911 and we'll come running!
